Every Woman's Story
I would love to visit your church or ladies Bible study group and share this design with them! One person will receive this design while the rest of the group will receive a small design that goes with the story. I don't charge for this service, but I do invite attendees to give a free-will offering to support this ministry.
As you can imagine, many people loved Jesus, but the religious leaders were angry with Him for disrupting the power they held over the people. They arranged for him to be killed by crucifixion, one of the most demeaning and painful deaths, reserved only for the worst criminals. Before his death, he was beaten brutally to fulfill what the prophet wrote hundreds of years earlier: "By His stripes, we are healed."
Have you heard other stories about Jesus and His power? Do you think that the religious leaders could have had him crucified without His consent? Jesus gave His life willingly. He saw that the system of offerings was broken and He came to take away our sin and shame and lies once and for all.
Under the old system, the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a young cow could cleanse people’s bodies from ceremonial impurity. Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds so that we can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins. (Hebrews 9:13-14, NLT)
Jesus stayed in the tomb until the third day after His death. In this culture and time period, women's witness was not considered trustworthy, but do you know whom Jesus first appeared to after He came back to life? Three women. Once again, Jesus broke down barriers and showed honor and respect to every human being. For 40 days, Jesus communed with his closest friends (the disciples) and all the believers (probably about 500 people at this time) before God took Him to heaven.
Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ. (Ephesians 2:13, NLT)
Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice. His sacrifice and resurrection broke the curse and gave us the ability to now have a relationship with God, and God is very, very happy about that. He loves us so much and wants to give us a new life, one that is free from shame and lies.
The last thing Jesus told his followers before he went to heaven was to spread this good news. That's why I created these henna designs. How will you share?
