Ingredients and Allergy Information

At Rhema Henna, we use only all-natural fresh henna paste made from scratch. Our ingredients list is small, containing only:

~Finely sifted, fresh organic Rajasthani henna leaf powder. Our powder is grown, harvested, and processed in Sojat City, Rajasthan, India's largest henna-producing region, and has a great stringy-creamy consistency.

~Water that has been processed through a multi-tiered filter.

~Fair trade, organic sucanat, a whole cane sugar that is minimally processed, retaining its natural mineral content, with no additives.

~Therapeutic grade essential oils of cajeput, lavender, eucalyptus, and tea tree.

You will NEVER find manmade chemicals of any sort in our henna paste, and we will never use "black henna," which causes chemical burns due to the added chemicals. Real henna is safe and natural.

Allergic reactions to real henna (which is what we use) are extremely rare, temporary, and very rarely serious. Reactions include itching or difficulty breathing. If you experience irritation, feel free to contact Kassi as it is possible you are allergic to the essential oils in the mix and with a little recipe adjusting, you can still enjoy henna body art! If, after altering the paste recipe, you continue to experience these reactions, you should discontinue henna use.

Rhema Henna is not responsible for adverse effects and expects the client to read the ingredients and alert us of any allergies.

G6PD (glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase) deficient persons should keep henna exposure to a minimum. You might be G6PD deficient if your physician has ever strongly cautioned against using aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, fava beans, quinine, naphthalene fumes, or mothballs. G6PD deficiency and henna haemolysis have absolutely nothing to do with "black henna" injuries.

We do not apply henna to anyone under three years of age or ladies in their first trimester of pregnancy.
