I would love to visit your church or ladies Bible study group and share this design with them! One person will receive this design while the rest of the group will receive a small design that goes with the story. I don't charge for this service, but I do invite attendees to give a free-will offering to support this ministry.

One time, Jesus and his disciples were traveling through a region called Samaria. Now the history between the Jewish and the Samaritans can be compared to the good old Hatfield and MCoy feud. They HATED each other.

While the disciples went into town to buy food, Jesus stayed at the well outside of town to rest. A Samaritan woman came out to the well to draw water. Jesus asked the woman for a drink. The woman was surprised because she knew that the Jews hated the Samaritans.

Jesus said, "If you knew who it is that asks you for water, you would ask him to give you living water. For everyone who drinks from this well will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. The water I give them will become a spring of water inside welling up to eternal life."

When the woman asked for this water, Jesus told her to go get her husband. She replied that she didn't have a husband, and Jesus confirmed this, saying that she had been through 5 husbands. After speaking to her some more, he revealed to her that He was the Messiah.

At this, she dropped her water jug, ran down the path, and told everyone who would listen what Jesus had told her. Because of this, Jesus and his disciples stayed for two days in that town, and many people believed.

Jesus didn't care that this woman was a Samaritan. He didn't care that she had experienced so much heartbreak. He spoke to her with honesty and respect, reaching across cultural and societal barriers. And because she listened, she was the one to share the Living Water with her entire town.
